Cyberpunk 2077’s Modding Community Keeps the Game Alive

If there’s one thing that has kept Cyberpunk 2077 thriving, it’s the dedicated modding community. With thousands of fan-made creations ranging from new cosmetics to quests, graphical improvements, and full gameplay overhauls, the game continues to evolve long after launch.

CD Projekt RED has also worked hard to repair the game’s reputation since its rocky release, but much of its ongoing popularity comes from the passion and talent of modders who keep Night City fresh. Even years later, fans are still just as eager to replay missions, experiment with builds, or revisit the story of Johnny Silverhand through new community creations.

New Mods Revitalise Night City

As the game nears its fifth anniversary, fans are still exploring every corner of Night City. Two new overhaul mods are now adding even more depth to the experience.

Dialogues Overhaul by S1nonim

The first is the Dialogues Overhaul mod, which changes how conversations play out.

“This mod overhauls the reminder and wait time systems in dialogues,”
— S1nonim

The mod introduces new systems that make characters rush V for an answer if the player hesitates too long, creating a more realistic, high-pressure feel.

“The mod is divided into two contrary versions. One changes the reminders so that they are more natural. And the second version removes them completely in order to calmly choose options in the dialogues.”
— S1nonim

Players can tailor the system to their preferred style, whether they want immersive urgency or relaxed freedom when making dialogue choices.

Omni Combat by Fabled Foundry Modding

The second major release is Omni Combat, a movement overhaul that combines multiple smaller mods into one fluid system.

“It’s all about giving you more control over how V moves when the lead starts flying,”
— Fabled Foundry Modding

This mod allows players to customise their movement in combat — from speed boosts to sprints, jumps, and stylish slides. The result is a far more dynamic and responsive combat experience.

Why These Mods Matter

Both mods are completely free to download and install, giving players new reasons to dive back into Cyberpunk 2077. Together, they enhance immersion and improve gameplay flow, proving once again that Night City — and characters like Johnny Silverhand — live on thanks to the community.
