Epic Games has announced its latest high-profile crossover, partnering with Netflix to bring KPop Demon Hunters into Fortnite. Arriving on October 2, 2025, the event includes new character skins for Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, plus themed emotes, cosmetics, and quest rewards. Players will also get the chance to explore a brand-new limited-time mode, as well as design their own custom experiences with creative tools.
What Is KPop Demon Hunters?
KPop Demon Hunters is a Netflix original animated feature that blends supernatural action with the flair of K-pop idol culture. The film follows Rumi, Mira, and Zoey — three members of the fictional group HUNTR/X — who secretly battle demonic forces between tours and performances. Combining flashy choreography, high-energy music, and stylized demon-slaying combat, the movie has become a cult hit since its release. Its unique mix of music fandom and fantasy storytelling makes it an ideal fit for Fortnite’s crossover events, which often celebrate cultural touchstones across film, gaming, and music.
Demon Rush Mode
The popular Horde Rush experience returns with a supernatural spin as Demon Rush. Players can recruit Rumi, Mira, or Zoey to help them survive endless waves of faceless demons, unlocking KPop Demon Hunters-inspired perks between each survival phase. This mode will be live from October 2 through November 1.
K-Pop’s Growing Influence in Gaming
K-pop has become one of the most powerful forces in global pop culture, and its crossover into gaming is only natural. The genre’s blend of high-energy music, bold visuals, and loyal fandoms aligns perfectly with the interactive, community-driven world of modern games. From rhythm titles to virtual concerts, K-pop idols have already made waves across multiple platforms, but Fortnite’s collaborations give fans a unique way to live out their fandom in real time. By blending idol aesthetics with action gameplay, crossovers like KPop Demon Hunters highlight how music, fashion, and gaming continue to collide in fresh and innovative ways.
