Oasis have unveiled a new take on one of their most iconic tracks with the release of “Morning Glory (Unplugged)”. The song is lifted from the upcoming (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? (30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition), due out on October 3, 2025, via Big Brother Recordings.

Five Acoustic Favourites on the Deluxe Edition

The deluxe release will feature acoustic reimaginings of five fan favourites, including:

  • Morning Glory
  • Cast No Shadow
  • Wonderwall
  • Champagne Supernova
  • Acquiesce (previously released in unplugged form)

The unplugged tracks were produced and mixed by Noel Gallagher alongside Callum Marinho, using the original master recordings at Noel’s Lone Star Sound studio in London. Today’s release of “Morning Glory (Unplugged)” is accompanied by a visualiser, offering a fresh lens on the timeless anthem.

Celebrating 30 Years of a Classic

Originally released in 1995, (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? arrived just 14 months after the band’s debut Definitely Maybe and cemented Oasis as global icons. The record has sold more than 22 million copies worldwide, including six million in the United States. It remains the UK’s third best-selling studio album of all time and was recently crowned the Official Most Streamed Album of the ’90s by National Album Day, with Definitely Maybe taking second place.

Lasting Legacy of Morning Glory

Three decades on, (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? continues to influence new generations of musicians and fans alike. Its mix of swaggering rock anthems and heartfelt ballads helped define the Britpop era, while tracks like Wonderwall and Don’t Look Back In Anger have become staples of stadium singalongs, pub jukeboxes, and streaming playlists worldwide.

Fresh From the Road

The new release comes on the heels of Oasis’ triumphant Oasis Live ’25 Tour, which has included seven sold-out nights at Wembley Stadium. The final two London shows will take place Saturday (September 27) and Sunday (September 28). After Wembley, the band will head overseas with shows scheduled in South Korea, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil.
