Following the recent reveal of Body Count as special guests, Bloodstock Festival has now confirmed Black Label Society and Fit For An Autopsy among ten new additions to the lineup for its 25th-anniversary celebration at Catton Park, Derbyshire, taking place from 6th–9th August 2026. The milestone edition promises to be one of Bloodstock’s most electrifying years yet — bringing together legendary names, modern heavyweights, and the best of the UK underground.

Black Label Society and Fit For An Autopsy Join the Ronnie James Dio Stage

Sunday’s Ronnie James Dio Main Stage will now feature the mighty Black Label Society, fronted by the legendary Zakk Wylde — guitarist, vocalist, and longtime right-hand man to Ozzy Osbourne. Known for their thunderous riffs, soulful solos, and whiskey-soaked anthems like “Stillborn” and “Suicide Messiah”, Black Label Society promise a performance packed with groove, grit, and pure heavy metal spirit. Wylde’s presence alone guarantees a show that will leave fans spellbound, guitar in one hand and doom-laden swagger in the other.

Also joining the main stage on Friday are Fit For An Autopsy, the New Jersey deathcore juggernauts whose blend of brutality and atmosphere has redefined modern heavy music. With acclaimed albums such as Oh What the Future Holds and The Sea of Tragic Beasts, the band continues to push the genre forward, combining crushing breakdowns with thought-provoking lyrical depth. Their Bloodstock set is expected to be one of the weekend’s most intense displays of technical precision and unrelenting energy.

Sophie Lancaster Stage Expands With Underground Talent

The Sophie Lancaster Stage also gains a powerful new wave of additions. Kicking off proceedings on Thursday night are Birmingham’s Metal 2 The Masses alumni Mantis Defeats Jaguar, a rising act known for their ferocious live energy and blend of modern metal aggression with classic riffs.

Friday sees two wildly contrasting but equally exciting bands join the bill: the vampiric black metal force Blood Countess, bringing a wave of sinister theatrics and frostbitten ferocity, and the sludge-infused chaos merchants Gurt, whose tongue-in-cheek party energy always ensures a crowd of banging heads and grinning faces.

Doom, Death, and Destruction Across the Weekend

Saturday’s spotlight turns to Outergods, masters of blackened death and grind whose bleak sonic assault will satisfy even the most extreme metal purists. Their relentless soundscapes make them one of the underground’s most uncompromising acts.

As the festival winds toward its finale, Sunday’s Sophie Stage will feature a diverse mix of doom, punk, and death metal. Expect sonic punishment from the abrasive doom/punk duo Noisepicker, heavy groove from stoner doom veterans Alunah, and the savage assault of Flayed Disciple, bringing old-school death/thrash fury to Catton Park. Closing the stage are Acid Throne, Norwich’s rising doom trio whose monolithic riffs and haunting atmosphere are set to leave a lasting impression.

Tickets Selling Fast for Bloodstock 2026

With Body Count, Judas Priest, Black Label Society, and Fit For An Autopsy now on the lineup, Bloodstock 2026 is gearing up to be a defining year for the festival. Standard weekend tickets are already selling fast, and fans are urged to secure theirs early to avoid disappointment.

After years of anticipation, the wait is finally over — the legendary Body Count will make their long-awaited Bloodstock debut in August 2026. The Grammy-winning metal icons, fronted by Ice-T, are set to appear as special guests on the Ronnie James Dio Main Stage on Sunday, 9th August, performing directly before headliners Judas Priest.

A Long-Time Goal Realised for Bloodstock’s 25th Anniversary

The band’s booking has been a decade-long ambition for the festival, now finally realised for its 25th-anniversary edition. Known for their ferocious sound and fearless social commentary, Body Count have been a dominant force in heavy music since the early 1990s.

Formed by Ice-T and guitarist Ernie C, the band’s early work broke new ground by fusing the confrontational energy of hip-hop with the brutality of heavy metal. Their self-titled 1992 debut, featuring the infamous and politically charged track “Cop Killer,” cemented them as one of the most provocative and influential acts of their era. Despite controversy, Body Count stayed true to their message — using music to confront systemic injustice, racism, and social hypocrisy head-on.

Grammy Winners Bringing Fire to Catton Park

After several lineup changes and decades of touring, Body Count returned to global prominence with albums like Manslaughter (2014), Bloodlust (2017), and Carnivore (2020). The latter earned them a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance for “Bum-Rush”, proving their relevance and fury remain undimmed. The band’s modern sound balances sharp production and timeless aggression, combining groove-laden riffs with Ice-T’s commanding lyrical venom.

Their Bloodstock 2026 performance promises to be a landmark moment, merging old-school defiance with new-era firepower — a set certain to stand among the festival’s most unforgettable.

Bloodstock’s Legacy as the UK’s Premier Metal Festival

Now regarded as the UK’s biggest independent metal festival, Bloodstock Open Air began as a one-day indoor event in 2001 and has evolved into a four-day pilgrimage for heavy music fans worldwide. Hosted annually at Catton Park, Derbyshire, the festival has welcomed legends like Slipknot, Megadeth, Gojira, and Behemoth, while proudly championing the underground through its Metal 2 The Masses initiative — giving unsigned bands a chance to perform on its hallowed stages.

With its loyal community, grassroots ethos, and commitment to pure heavy music, Bloodstock remains the perfect stage for Body Count’s explosive UK festival return.

Vicky Hungerford: “One of the Most Memorable Shows Ever”

Festival director Vicky Hungerford shared her excitement:

“After 10 years of trying, we finally get Body Count to Bloodstock! This is going to be one of the most memorable shows the festival has ever seen — and how fitting that it’s part of our 25th anniversary celebration!”

Bloodstock is wasting no time in fuelling excitement for next summer’s metal pilgrimage. Hot on the heels of this year’s event, the festival organisers have confirmed that Bloodstock Open Air 2026 is already shaping up to be one of the biggest editions in its history.

The first wave of names was announced during this year’s festival, revealing an absolutely colossal trio of headliners: Lamb Of God, Slaughter To Prevail, and Judas Priest. That opening salvo alone would be enough to set metal fans’ hearts racing, but the announcements didn’t stop there. The early lineup also included Carpenter Brut, 200 Stab Wounds, Sepultura, Municipal Waste, Bleed From Within, Orbit Culture, Northlane, and many more — a thunderous first taste of what’s coming to Catton Park next August.

27 More Bands Just Announced

Now, Bloodstock have doubled down and delivered another massive announcement — confirming 27 new bands joining the 2026 bill.

Leading the fresh wave are British metal legends Saxon, who will headline the Thursday night party on the Ronnie James Dio Stage. Known for their anthemic NWOBHM classics and high-energy live shows, Saxon are guaranteed to fire up the festival weekend in spectacular style.

They’ll be joined on Thursday by Bloodstock cult favourites Evil Scarecrow, whose theatrical antics and tongue-in-cheek robot metal have become a staple of the festival, and the wonderfully bizarre dino-metal crew Heavysaurus, promising riffs, roars, and a whole lot of chaos.

New Additions to the Ronnie James Dio Stage

The main Ronnie James Dio Stage will also see an influx of heavy hitters and rising stars across the weekend. Among the newly announced acts are:

  • Graphic Nature – delivering visceral, groove-laden metalcore
  • Battlesnake – bringing their wild Aussie heavy rock energy
  • Party Cannon – Scotland’s kings of party-deathgrind
  • SKYND – known for their dark, true-crime-inspired industrial sound
  • Inhuman Nature – thrash-fuelled crossover chaos
  • Kittie – returning nu-metal icons making a triumphant festival comeback
  • Castle Rat – theatrical doom rockers with a flair for the bizarre
  • Bootyard Bandits – country metal mayhem straight from the wild west

This eclectic mix shows Bloodstock’s willingness to push beyond the traditional boundaries of metal while staying true to its heavy roots.

Sophie Lancaster Stage Gets a Huge Boost

Not to be outdone, the Sophie Lancaster Stage has also received a colossal boost. Known for spotlighting underground heroes, international cult favourites, and next-big-thing contenders, the Sophie Stage is often where festival-goers discover their new favourite bands.

The newly announced names include:
Neckbreakker, URNE, Celestial Sanctuary, Stampin’ Ground, Dream State, Viking Skull, Mushroomhead, Trivax, Froglord, Hidden Intent, Sellsword, Seething Akira, Hammer, Bound In Fear, Imperium and the gloriously unhinged Excrementory Grindfuckers.

From the return of British hardcore pioneers Stampin’ Ground to the theatrical chaos of Mushroomhead and the genre-bending intensity of Seething Akira, this is a lineup that spans the full spectrum of the heavy music world.
